Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Quodeo helps homeowners get work done on their homes. To do that, we need to know some things about you and your home. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. If anything here is unclear, email admin@quodeo.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and Google account identifier. We use this to create and secure your account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Home and property information. Your address and details about your home and its appliances — whatever is needed to describe the work you want done. Some of this you tell us; some we look up from public and commercial property-data sources once you give us your address.
- Service requests and messages. What you ask for, the conversation you have with our assistant, and any photos you attach.
- Email content, only if you connect your inbox. See the section below.
- Basic technical data. Standard log and device information needed to operate and secure the service.
If you connect your Gmail inbox
Connecting your inbox is optional and off by default. If you choose to connect
it, Quodeo requests read-only access to your Gmail
(gmail.readonly) so we can find things like your home's purchase documents,
appliance receipts, and warranty records — and save you from typing them in by hand.
- We request read-only access. Quodeo cannot send, delete, or modify email.
- We extract only the facts relevant to your home, and store those facts — not your mailbox.
- Access tokens are encrypted at rest.
- You can disconnect your inbox at any time, and revoke Quodeo's access directly in your Google Account permissions.
How we use your information
- To understand what work your home needs and describe it accurately to service providers.
- To contact local service providers on your behalf, negotiate, and schedule the work.
- To keep a record of your home, its appliances, and the work done on it.
- To send you notifications about your requests, if you enable them.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
What we share, and with whom
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Service providers doing your work. To get you a quote or book a job, we share what a provider genuinely needs — the nature of the work, and, once you approve the job, the details required to actually show up and do it. We do not hand over your inbox or your broader home record.
- Vendors that run our infrastructure (hosting, databases, email delivery, error monitoring, and the AI models that power the assistant), strictly to operate the service on our behalf.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
Artificial intelligence
Quodeo's assistant is powered by third-party AI models, and your messages are sent to those providers to generate responses. We do not use your data — and specifically, we do not use any data obtained from Google APIs — to train generalized AI models.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and the data associated with it by emailing admin@quodeo.com. We may retain limited records where we are legally required to.
Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encryption of sensitive credentials at rest and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we treat your home and inbox data as the sensitive information it is.
Children
Quodeo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
